The rishis, the great sages of India gave us undiluted Divine knowledge and their holy vibrations reverberating through the cosmos. Sacred texts like the Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gita preserve the highest Truth teachings of these masters. 

     These illumined ancient seers had extraordinary spiritual powers. They realized that the past, present, and future are an indivisible whole. They used the material universe, with its elements of light and sound energy waves, for astral travel. The rishis had an ability to know what was happening in the minds of those that crossed their path or pierce metal through the sheer power of concentration. These powers came from the purity of the Self, undiluted by egoism. These ancient sages had no personal volition left that could misuse them. 

     The rishis in holy vision had insight into the earth’s history. It is not linear, which scientists and most of humanity nowadays presume. The traditional belief portrays humanity’s journey as a movement from barbaric man to modern man. Instead, the rishis saw this movement as circular, through what are called ‟Yugas” (Ages). 

     Various seers and experts in Vedic astrology envisioned four distinct Yuga cycles, each lasting several thousand years and holding a unique vibration. A 200-year transition period reportedly marks the beginning and end of each Yuga.

     This version of cosmogony suggests humanity developed from higher vibration states of Consciousness, then devolved to lower states over long periods before returning to higher Consciousness in an ongoing cycle. Each of the four Yugas corresponds with various levels of maya, the illusion of darkness, because it hides man’s Divine Nature. 

     The previous Kali Yuga phase (Iron Age) was the lowest vibration period which lasted from about 700 BCE to 1700 CE, with a transitional period lasting from 1700 to 1900 CE. Currently we are in final 75 years of the transitional phase of the ascending part of the Dwapara Yuga (Bronze Age), said to last from 1900 to 2100, based on the enlightened calculations of Sri Yukteshwar (Paramahansa Yogananda’s Guru), who published the book, The Holy Science near the turn of the 20th century. 

     This ushering in of the Dwapara Yuga corresponds with many revolutionary innovations: from electricity, automobiles, airplanes, radio, and many more. The 1893 Chicago Parliament of Religions also occurred at the start of this Dwapara Yuga transitional period (around 1900 CE). Swami Vivekananda, a direct disciple of Saint Ramakrishna, brought the Eternal Truth of Vedanta to America during this time. Also, Mahatma Gandhi’s Satyagraha Movement, the force of Truth, began in South Africa, and ahimsa or non-violent, non-cooperation reshaped Africa, then India and the world, through its deeper foundation based on love for all life.  

     From 1900 to 2000, every decade of growth in the first transitional phase of the Dwapara Yuga, was like that of several centuries in the Kali Yuga.  

          Remnants of the Dark Age of Kali Yuga and man’s involvement in the murky aspects of egoism remain. Much of the populace today is heavily veiled in a kind of forgetfulness. Today, much of the world populace remains engrossed in materialism, as well as ignorance and forgetfulness of the True Self. The accessibility of light and higher vibrations now entering, are becoming less dense. Yet man’s inhumanity to all life on earth must play out as karmic retribution, for man-made atrocities such as racial violence, Native American genocide, and other colonial conquests, to name a few. 

     In these, the 2020s, fiery remnants filled with karmic reckoning are being thrust upon the earth. During this transitional phase, destruction and heightened awareness are happening simultaneously. According to renowned Vedic scholar David Frawley,

     “Our current global difficulties are not a sign that we remain in Kali Yuga but that we are in the Kali-Dwapara transitional phase. During this dangerous period, we have the new energy of Dwapara Yuga but have not yet learned the wisdom to use it properly. This period will last through the 21st century. So major shifts are yet to come.”

     During the first 125 years (1900-2025) of the 200-year transitional phase of Dwapara Yuga, we witnessed major changes in food growth and production, medical achievements, population explosion, the discovery and misuse of nuclear power. As we move into the final transitional phase of our current Dwapara Yuga, further technological progress and space conquest propel us forward. Wars will slowly vanish, and humankind will rise in vibration. The Dwapara Yuga will also last for 2400 years, the ancient seers tell us.  

     Recent geological research confirms what some seers have said: that at the end of every new Yuga transitional phase, a vast group of all life forms on the planet will exit the Earth sphere. During this current transitional phase, the ongoing reduction of life forms might come about through humanity’s own folly and derangement. One of the most accurate seers of all time, Edgar Cayce, predicted that the years 2025-2030 would bring about a major shift in the old ways of living as well as a breakdown of culture of materialism, greed, and selfishness. His readings seem to show that humanity would undergo a purification through global events, the shifting of the earth’s magnetic poles, and major economic upheaval. Cayce’s psychic readings also showed that new higher energy frequencies might spur a collective awakening in Consciousness. The well-known spiritual luminary Paramahansa Yogananda said that during the initial phase of the Dwapara Yuga, Europe would be “devastated”; Russia “annihilated” and the United States would be “battered but not beaten.”

    During the final 7 decades of the 21st century, we could also witness the misuse of geo-engineered weather modification technology that whistle blowers such as Eric Hecker, a former U.S. Navy serviceman and ex-Raytheon contractor have let people know about, devices like HAARP (High frequency Active Auroral Research Program which injects energy into the ionosphere in order to control it) or (DEW’s, laser-like directed energy weapons). These devices, according to whistleblowers, can cause ice storms, extreme fires, hurricanes, and earthquakes. We could also witness trans-humanism taking over with the increasing application of AI technologies. This philosophy is interested in the enhancement of the human condition by adapting future technologies. Together with artificial intelligence applications, all kinds of alternative sci-fi like scenarios like fake alien invasions. We could witness stealth manipulation of electromagnetic frequencies. The new 5G was installed during the first year of the pandemic It is untested technology was stealthily put up during the pandemic despite vehement opposition from more than 179 scientists from 37 countries. (6G is set to come in the early 2030s). There may be even more nuclear disasters and increased poisoning of food supplies and exploitation through pharmaceutical agents. The destruction could also happen via a combination of various diseases, wars, cataclysmic earth changes, like solar storms, asteroids colliding with Earth, severe earthquakes, vast floods, or famines. 

     Fortunately, the frequencies of light, love, and Consciousness are slowly becoming less dense. After Dwapara comes the Treta Yuga (Silver Age), and for another 3600 years, humans will become highly evolved, with a focus on telepathy and conquest of time. And finally, the Satya Yuga (the Golden Age) unfolds, and most of humanity will be in harmony with nature and realize their inherent divinity. During Satya Yuga, life forms may be subtle, with angelic-like or celestial bodies.

     The Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History has compiled evidence showing that the indigenous tribes of the Kalahari of Africa, the San people, represent the oldest genetic lineage and the origin of humanity (or homo-sapiens). This link indicates they go back 300-800 thousand years. Maybe these people, thought to be associated with a primitive civilization, were from the Satya Yuga Age, and were highly-developed human beings who dwelled intuitively and did not require language or words but communicated through telepathic or intuitive transmission of knowledge and understanding of oneness. The original remembrance of connectivity with Source Consciousness and the natural state of happiness are clear in many indigenous peoples. Based on in-depth work from some enlightened scholars, the ancient dances passed on from tribal elders show humans operating from an enlightened freedom, with a spiritual-centered life immersed in heartfelt caring, sharing and profound encounters with all living things. 

     According to Swami Vivekananda,  

     “In the Satya Yuga, Christs will be as plentiful and as many as bunches of grapes on a vine.” 

     This final Satya Age will last 4800 years, before the cycle reverses itself, descending spontaneously, and the veil of darkness ever so slowly covers mankind in ignorance once again. 

     Modern geological findings suggest the Pyramids of Giza, including the Sphinx, are several thousand years older than originally presumed. Evidence now suggests they were built between 5000 and 7000 BCE during the Treta Yuga. The age-old conundrum of how a Neolithic civilization built these famous relics is based on archeological myths. It is more likely that the exacting nature of the construction required higher science from evolved beings operating beyond the normally accepted limits of the mind. It is possible that these Epochs harbored societies of much higher vibration than our own, just as the ancient seers foretold. 

     In truth, the Yugas operate within us, moment to moment. The model of the Yugas doesn’t dictate to us, but manifests through us. Each of us can live in Satya, Truth-Reality, this very instant. We need not wait until the outer manifestation of Satya Yuga arrives in order to discard the sheath of delusion and realize our true Self. Ramana Maharshi, on this topic, once said, 

     “The immensity of the periods of time assigned to each Yuga may be a mere device to draw man’s attention to the fact that even if he lived up to hundreds of years, his life is such a trifling, insignificant fraction of a Yuga. Therefore, he should take a proper view of his humble place in the entire scheme and not go about with a swollen head, deeming himself of great importance. Instead of saying, ‘what is man’s life compared to eternity?’”
