My heart is literally bursting out of my chest, this being 3 years into the post pandemic era. Compassion overflows.
The stress, the sense of hardship, trials and challenges, the trauma and restructuring of lives during these last three years of madness and mayhem has mixed with the increased environmental toxicity, and people of all walks of life and ages are having neurological symptoms, mental and physical breakdowns, turning many into trancelike automaton, replete with vacant and vacuous eyes and depressed outlooks.
Some are barely surviving not only psychologically but physically and mentally.
Spiritual malnutrition is epidemic.
People are so overwhelmed with living and the complexity of their lives is actually increasing. Most do not know how to or cannot slow down and simplify their lives as their proverbial plate is spilling over. Overwhelm is so common today.
So, what can one do?
Well, we can give from the heart, for it has the capability to overflow with compassion, caring and love. And there is ample room in our heart, as it is a veritable well-spring of Love.
When we make ourselves available to others, they are no longer seen as separate people but part of us. And by staying in our heart, we do not get pulled into the life stories and details of what befalls people, which enables us to calmly witness and respond… and naturally true nourishment comes even if it is intangible.
By showing patience, actually listening and stopping our habitual self-centered focus, we expand and embrace all beings. This embrace is what nourishes without asking, calms without clinging, and mirrors peace and love.
And peace and love are always available as well-springs within us. When we are in touch with contentment inside, it flows unobstructed like a tributary rushing to meet the river, gathering all the souls that come into our sphere into the boat as we travel to the Great Ocean of Spirit. All are nourished there.
