When we get to the point where I can forgive even the most heinous crimes against humanity and nature, that is equanimity.
I’m talking about the unnamed executives of the Big Pharma Establishment, the Military Intelligence sellouts, and the billionaire technocrats. Yes, even Bill Gates.
I cannot even imagine being so cutoff from one’s true being that I could pretend to be doing good but instead are fear-mongering, outright lying, poisoning, and committing mass murder and creating famine.
None of that is my job; all of that is for God to take care of.
My job, if any, is to love, have compassion, and forgive-by seeing the truth. We are all characters playing in the Luminous Field of the Lord: heroes and villains and everything in-between, part of God’s Divine Play.
That Play is not meant to be understood or made better.
It is humbling to see that the same evil, or dark shadowy-energy, arises and plays out through the villains in the Drama, as well as within myself at times, albeit in a less destructive form on the world stage.
This egoic shadow or misapprehension is the ignorance that resides in all hearts–until it doesn’t. Our life mission is to completely rid ourselves , fully eradicate, this dark egoic ignorance. We do this by being true to ourselves through and through, including the deepest and most subtle and intimate parts of our humanity.
We must keep our inner light shining and reveal and release the corruptive tendencies so they cannot secure a foothold. Deeper than that, inquiry, unrelenting investigation, must continue. We must see that the Eternal Self is what we are. Our idea of being only a body is not true.
In this way we find wholeness, our authentic Holiness, and nothing more is needed.
Ignorance is to believe in the body-idea. Awareness is the Light that instantly evaporates this egoic-movement or latent tendency which disregards the Eternal and Imminent.
Absorption in thought is a veil, a kind of dark-covering, and yet each moment the Light of Awareness can destroy this covering.
Earnestness, and sincerity of purpose, must be incredibly strong. As numerous Saints and spiritual Masters have put it: It is like having your head held underwater and trying with all your might to reach the surface for air. When our quest for truth, God, the Self, love, integrity and compassion is this strong, the light stays on.
And when the Light of Awareness remains in full bloom, there is no darkness.
